Moon child waited for a sign
Stayed up all night staring at the night sky.

Moon child stared deep into the blue
For a glimpse just a sight of me and you.

And he saw me
And he saw you there.

Moon child hoped his luck had changed
He hoped his trust in us was not in vain.

And from then on he stared out every night
But we made sure that there'd be no second sight.

But he had seen me
And he had seen you there.

Moon child never could confirm his thoughts
Thoughts became dreams and dreams can be forgot.

And in his twilight the memory came true
As we flew him to his new life on the moon.

And he saw me
And he saw you.
